Guest Reviews

Here are some genuine messages we have receieved from our customers after staying with us.

Charming Cottage
The Milk House in Bolehill, Wirksworth is a charming cottage providing comfortable and pleasant accommodation. It's the second time we've stayed here and we would happily stay again. The kitchen, bathrooms, large sitting room and 4 bedrooms have all been kept in good condition. The decking area is well kept and gives off lovely views of the hills. Each time, on arrival there has been complimentary white and red wine, biscuits, coffee and tea left for us which is a nice touch. There is free parking (8 spaces) 20 yards from the property. All in all I would stay here again and would recommend the location for visits to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Peak District Park and Matlock. - ZakShaw, November 2016

Perfect Stay
Arrived at the cottage on the Friday, and was welcomed with a lovely hamper with most things needed until supplies were brought, which included a bottle of white and red! The kitchen was well equipped and well stocked with kitchen essentials. The living room was well appointed, and comfortable with a wood stove log burner, we didn't use as we were fortunate with the weather. The views from the living room were fantastic with a small BBQ and seating area outside. The bedrooms are on a split level, each level sharing and a bathroom and separate toilet. The rooms again were well appointed with good quality furnishing and fixtures, and the bedroom located on the first floor the double which I stayed in was th bed was so comfortable. The cottage sits in the village of Boleshill with great walks, the nearest towns are Wirksworth and Cromford. Public transport we found to be good and reliable, if you want a taxi these are a little more difficult, however we persevered and managed to get one for our night out to the Market Restaurant in Cromford. This is an excellent location for exploring Derbyshire with Carsingron Water and Matlock on the doorstep. Excellent. - Paula7, Nottingham, May 2016

Fantastic place
Stayed for a long weekend with 2 families, 4 adults & 4 kid's, each family had their own floor which consisted of 2 bedrooms & bathroom each & we were able to meet in the middle where the kitchen & lounge were. Lovely place with great decor, solid wood everywhere, great log burner & lovely views. Very well equipped & layed out holiday let, we only wish we could have stayed for longer.

Would definitely recommend & would return again. - mamacg1, April 2015
